2. Eligibility
To be eligible for a full refund under our 30-day guarantee:
- Within 30 Days: Your refund request must be submitted within 30 calendar days of your project start date (the date your deposit is received).
- Before Work Begins on Current Phase: Full refunds are available for any phase of your project that has not yet begun. For example, if editing is complete but cover design has not started, you will receive a full refund for cover design.
- Written Request: All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email for documentation purposes.
3. Refund Process
Our refund process is simple and straightforward:
- Submit Your Request: Email info@greenfieldpublishers.com with your name, project details, and reason for the refund request.
- Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and may schedule a brief call to understand your concerns and explore whether we can resolve the issue.
- Review & Decision: Within 2 business days of acknowledgment, we will review your request and provide a clear determination, including the refund amount.
- Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method (credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer).
- Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been issued, along with a receipt for your records.
4. Prorated Refunds
If you request a refund after work has already begun on a phase of your project, we offer fair prorated refunds:
- You Pay Only for Completed Work: We calculate the percentage of work completed on the current phase and refund the remaining balance.
- Transparent Calculation: We will provide a detailed breakdown showing exactly what work was completed and the corresponding cost.
- You Keep All Completed Work: Upon cancellation, you receive all deliverables and work product completed to date. Nothing is withheld.
Prorated Refund Examples
- Ghostwriting: If 3 of 10 chapters are completed, you pay for 3 chapters and receive a refund for the remaining 7.
- Editing: If half the manuscript has been edited, you pay for the edited portion and receive a refund for the remainder.
- Cover Design: If initial concepts have been delivered but revisions have not begun, you pay for the concept phase only.
- Marketing: Refund is prorated based on the campaign duration completed. Any remaining scheduled services are refunded.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following items and costs are non-refundable once incurred:
- Third-Party Costs: ISBN purchases, barcode generation, and distribution platform fees (e.g., IngramSpark setup fees) are non-refundable as these are paid to external providers.
- Already Completed Phases: Once you have approved and received final deliverables for a specific phase (e.g., approved your final cover design, accepted your edited manuscript), that phase is considered complete and is non-refundable.
- Published Books: Once your book is live on retail platforms, publishing-related fees cannot be refunded.
- Advertising Spend: Any money spent on advertising campaigns (Amazon Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.) is paid directly to the advertising platform and cannot be recovered.
- Rush/Expedite Fees: Rush service fees are non-refundable once expedited work has commenced.

- Your project name or reference number
- The date your project started
- The specific service(s) you are requesting a refund for
- A brief explanation (optional — we respect your decision either way)
